About the Role

The Bakery Prep role supports daily operations by preparing sourdough and non-baked food items and assisting with ingredient preparation for production. This role plays a key part in ensuring the bakery is ready for service and that next-day production is set up for success.

Key Responsibilities

Food Preparation

  • Prepare food for sandwiches, soups, and other non-baked items as require
  • Prepare ingredients for cookies and other baked goods
  • Ensure consistency, quality, and presentation 

Production Support

  • Assist with ingredient prep for baking (as directed) 
  • Support end-of-day and next-day preparation 

Evening Prep (Key Function)

  • Prepare items required for the following day 
  • Support bread proofing and overnight preparation processes 

Cleanliness & Organization

  • Maintain a clean, organized workspace 
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation standards
  • Support the Front Staff in closing activities and clean up 

Coordination

  • Take direction from Operations Manager (primary) 
  • Collaborate with Head Baker on production-related prep

Schedule

This position shifts are usually: 

  • Monday 1:30 pm to 8:30 pm 
  • Tuesday to Friday 5:30-8:30  (evening shift)

Wage

The wage for this position starts at $18.25-$20 + shared tips based on experience
