About the Role
The Baker Assistant assists the baking team with daily production tasks and general kitchen support. This role is essential for maintaining efficient workflow, ensuring ingredients are prepared correctly, and helping uphold the bakery's high standards for quality and cleanliness.
Key Responsibilities
Production Support
- Assist with measuring and scaling ingredients for daily baking batches
- Help with basic mixing, shaping, and proofing tasks as directed
- Support oven operations, including loading and unloading trays
Quality Control
- Monitor baked goods for consistency and visual appeal
- Report any discrepancies or quality concerns to the Head Baker
Cleanliness & Organization
- Keep the production area sanitized, orderly, and efficient
- Clean and maintain baking equipment, including mixers, counters, and ovens
Collaboration
- Work effectively with the Head Baker and baking team
- Follow instructions precisely and communicate proactively regarding task status
- Adhere strictly to all food safety and sanitation protocols

- Physical stamina for lifting and standing for extended periods

Schedule
This position shifts are usually cover during these time:
- Tuesday to Saturday start time in between 4:30am 7:30am
- Shifts are between 3 hrs to 6 hrs long, depending on the season and days of the week.
Wage
The wage for this position starts at $21-$23 + shared tips based on experience
